Winter Survival – Snow Camping – February 20 – 21, 2016

We are going to Mount Rainier, Paradise, for a Night of Snow Camping!

This is a cold night, so you really need to be prepared.

Warm sleeping bag and bivysack (or tarp) are important.    We use snow shoes, and sleds and hike to our camping spot.  We then dig our snow caves and our kitchen and prepare for the evening.

MEET: Saturday, February 20, 2016 at HP Restaurant.  Arrhive at 6:30 a.m. Cars leave at 6:45 a.m.
: Sunday 21, 2016 @ around 5PM
MEALS: Bring a Lunch to Eat While Hiking In.  Bring a Patrol Diner.  Bring a Breakfast,   Bring $ for a meal on the way back
DISTANCE: 90 Miles (2.5 Hours)
GEAR: Dress For Warmth.  The Troop has Snow Shoes.
