Troop 101 will be holding an Electricity Merit Badge Clinic on October 29th from 1 – 4 PM. The clinic will be held at the fire station. This badge is an opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of electricity and some aspects of how it applies to your daily life. With just a little pre-work completed, scouts should be able to complete this badge during the clinic.
Troop 101 will be holding Webelos Fun Day September 16th – 18th at Millersylvania State Park. Members of Troop 101 will meet at the Haggen’s/Dairy Queen parking lot at 6:10 PM of Friday, September 16th. We will leave promptly at 6:30 PM, so be on time. Everyone should have a sack supper so that we can get our camp set up before darkness falls. We will be returning to the fire station on Sunday, September 18th at approximately 11:00.
The location for this years event is Millersylvania State Park. Millersylvania is an 842 acre park 10 miles south of Olympia, Washington. The park has 6 miles of trails, old-growth cedar and fir trees, and also features camping and 3,300 feet of freshwater shoreline on Deep Lake. Wikipedia

Everyone (parents too) is invited to the BBQ planning meeting starting at 6:30 at Dennis Longnecker’s house. Dennis will provide Burgers, Hot Dogs, condiments and everyone else provide something else (things like Salads, Chips, Drinks, Cookies, etc.)
During and after the eating, the scouts will work on the activity schedule for the 2016-2017 scouting year. The troop is Scout led, so this is the time the Scouts get to pick what they want to do! (But you can’t plan eCamp every weekend!)
Come…be heard and share what YOU want to do!
Two scouts from Troop 101 have just completed National Youth Leadership Training at Camp Sheppard, in the Chief Seattle Council. Alex A and Michael R attended the challenging, week-long course that is aimed to improve a scout’s ability to demonstrate leadership for his troop. The course focused on team development, types of leadership, and improving the participant’s ability to cope with common and unique situations. Congratulations to Alex and Michael!
